The idea for Sunshine began in 1992 with the dream of one lady - Pearl Smith.

Most of the children come to us as babies, commonly wrapped in pieces of rag and in desperate need of love and care. At Sunshine the child has a home for life, it will be their choice if and when they want to branch out on their own. Our committed team of workers and trustees become the child's extended and loving family for the rest of their lives. With this start and with your help, we believe that they will overcome all the challenges that life may throw at them. Eventually we hope they will change attitudes and shape the future development of Egypt. Read our History
