	Latest News The charity Directors wish to thank everyone who so kindly supported Sunshine Project over the Christmas period and we wish you all a very happy year ahead. The New Year starts with great anticipation, at the moment there is no improvement in the situation regarding tourism in Egypt. As you all know this has an affect on the project and indeed affects many of the people in Egypt who rely on income from tourism. At present there are 95 children registered into the care of the Sunshine Project Foundation in Luxor. They rely so much on our funding and we must be able to provide our continued support. This is not easy and we realize that to keep this up, we will need the help of our supporters or indeed anyone who is reading this appeal on our website. The children that we are able to support have a home, health care, education and hope for the future thanks to your help, our worry is all that could change without our continued help. Thank you again and please do read on if this is your first visit to our website, we hope that you will be inspired by our history and our work in Egypt and maybe choose one of the many ways to support our charity. 	Sunshine Project The idea for SunShine began in 1992 with the dream of one lady - Pearl Smith. The Sunshine Project is a non-profit making charity in the UK established to provide funding and aid to the needy children of Luxor, Egypt. This is done through the Sunshine Foundation located in Luxor, Egypt. The Sunshine Foundation in Luxor offers a home, care, Shelter, education, recreation and health facilities to abandoned, orphaned or needy children of Luxor. Most of the children that are cared for by the Foundation come to Sunshine when just a few days old. As with any new born baby, they are very much in need of love and care, Sunshine will be their home and family for as long as they need our help. Read our History
